The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday night. The athlete was part of a serious road collision in the Lagos area on December 29th, a tragic incident that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

Joshua had been receiving medical attention while healing from his light wounds, his management team stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to continue his recovery at home.

“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the commissioner stated.

Remembering the Victims

The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and overcome with emotion over the passing of his two dear friends.”

This update on his health comes as the global fight fans had expressed condolences for the fighter in the aftermath of the terrible crash.
